FOOD & DRINK

You will be spoilt for choice at the food stalls when you visit the Supper Market.  Each week we have a number of talented home cooks who will serve up a feast for you.  And if you are still hungry after eating at the hawker foods stalls you may want to visit one of the Abbotsford Convent’s eateries, they include Lentils As Anything, Convent Bakery, Boiler room and the very cool Handsome Steve’s House of Refreshments. Come and meet the cooks at the Supper Market, they are excited about cooking for you when you visit us.

ROBERT SEVIN EUROPEAN BBQ

European BBQ is run by Robert Sevin and his family. They make the best “gozleme”  (Turkish savoury crepes) in Victoria, it’s freshly prepared gourmet pastries with yummy fillings.  They use 100% Australian feta and spinach in their cooking.  They have travelled around Australia cooking their delicious morsels and now they are the Abbotsford Convent to cook for you each Friday night.

Their menu consists of gozleme (cheese & spinach crepes) with the following fillings:
Traditional (cheese & spinach),  Lamb, Chicken, Mushroom, Olives and Eggs
All gozlemes are served with a slice of fresh lemon and cucumber dip.
EMPANADAS LAS PENAS
Maria currently operates her own bakery in North Sunshine (67 Berkshire Road, North Sunshine, ph: 9311 2911) and is expanding her small business specialising in Latin foods to other parts of Melbourne by participating in outdoor markets & festivals.  She has been drawn to cook at the Supper Market and will be cooking her specialty food which includes empandas with beef filling, choripan (Latin sausage) and churroz. Take home orders for churro cake will be available.  Maria says she specialises in making and baking “empanadas” using special ingredients from Chile & Uruguay, it’s the most popular food available on the streets in South America.

Antonia’s Dumplings

Antonia cooks wonderful Chinese food and specialises in dumplings.  Her mother cooks tasty Vietnamese meat skewers.
